Hardwood floor color question

Hello,

I am looking for guidance on color for replacing our old hardwood floor in the downstairs of our home. Furniture is predominantly Danish light cherry.

I will reface the cabinets or get them painted. Same for the walls.

for flooring, you could do a similar floor, stain on site, like a white oak.

or did you want to go w/engineered floors?

I actually have this one in my home. Calif Classics mediterranean

for those cabs I'd bring in a little contrast w/this cracked pepper color. would look very nice w/the cherry, the soft white and the wood/white tones

change out the rug too

or these greige colors are nice. (stay w/taupes/gray that have RED / PINK undertones to work w/your furniture

you could do the walls in one of these taupe colors and the cabinet in the cracked pepper

this is a nice tone too

Whitened Oak is pretty

or this porcelain 8x48" tile. Kenridge

terrazzo tile also an option. this one is stunning. (it's a porcelain)

are they solid hardwood? why not sand them and refinish?

with your cherry furniture, i'd do a natural floor

or maybe this one Duraseal weathered Oak

25+ years old and show a lot of wear and tear (scratches, stains from previous owners who may have had pets). Per assessments done we do not have an option to refinish or restain.

I just put down a White Birch with very dark walls SW Virtual Taupe

The kitchen cabinetry is also the same color as the cabinets by the fireplace. I would love guidance on cabinet paint color as well.

Refacing them is always option but cabinets are fully functional and I hate to waste them. Also, cheaper to get painted :)

You can try out finishes in your room using a flooring visualizer that's offered on websites like Floor and Decor.

IMO you have to address the cabinets to the left of the FP.

I love the floor color in your home: Calif Classics mediterranean. It has grey and pink undertones that I like. Thanks for sharing. I am partial to Costco flooring and will see if I can find something similar.

I love the terrazzo floor that @Beth H: suggested.

For the cabinets, you can consider a very deep green. It would complement the color of your furniture.

@Beth H. :I am finally close to actioning the change out of the wood floors. I have decided on Engineered Hardwood (husband is not bought on tile). Vendors I am considering are Fabrica, Portercraft or D&M.

Can you please share the name of the stain/ color of the white oak that you have at your home ? I really like that color. Is this the link to the vendor ?
