Shower gap between bench and saddle

AGnès Garonnat

Hi,

The main shower has a big gap between the bench and the saddle, which is extremely hard to clean. How do you think I could find a solution to close this gap (bottom of the bench & top of the saddle).

I'm open to any suggestion from pool noodle to tile !

Thanks

You cannot now as water will definitely find it's way in there and you will end up with mold. That should have been thought of and planned for in the planning stages.

Definitely a bad design - when I’ve seen showers with benches like yours, the benches always go out to the curb = no space. I can only imgaine how difficult that spot is to clean.

What’s going on withthe schluter edge profile on the bench? The photo looks like the side tile is popping out from the metal trim + the corner is off.

Is this an older shower?

Definitively a bad design ! This shower is a good example on what NOT to do.

We bought it like that 4 years ago, I'll deal with it.
