Do you really need the "Craftsman brackets"? I personally do not see where they will add anything to the home. The areas where they will be applied look to small for the brackets to actually look like they would or could be functional and will essentially like they are just pasted on.

I would do the version with six, but I would rethink a bracket per se. My arts and crafts home from 1913 just had 4/6 beams that extended out perpendicular to the house with chamfered ends.

Here's a photo without them, it sort of looks bare at the tip of the gable roof, especially garage area and the top area. Besides Craftsman bracket, are there any other things we can add there?

I don't think it looks bare at all - it only looks that way to you because you are focusing on that area, and there is nothing to keep your eyes "down". Once you have landscaping, everything will look more cohesive.

The roof line is kind of low for brackets for me. They need to look like they belong and are actually there for a reason rather than just pasted on.
