Looking for help with roof shingle color

Hello all. I see there are many discussions about choosing roof shingle colors, but I'm still confused about what will work best with my house. We are using Landmark Pro shingles. I'm trying to choose between Driftwood, Moire Black, and Colonial Slate (or something more gray). Here's a current picture of our house and a mockup with the new black door that will be installed in a couple of months (also included a closeup of the brick). I also plan to paint the shutters a warm black to match the door and add more modern exterior lighting. What roof shingle color do you think would go best? Thank you!

I think your home really needs an iron and polycarbonate canopy over the front door.

A dark chacoal or maybe even black If you insist on shutteres( I would not ) then they need to be much bigger they have to cover easch winow completely even if you never close them they have to look like you could .. It also would be nice to see some windows in that garage door since it is front of the entry .

Thanks Patricia and BeverlyFladDeziner. I like the canopy idea - will look into that. Regarding the roof shingle color - sounds like going dark (maybe even black) could work well? Any concerns with it looking to stark? Here are the Landmark Pro Moire Black shingles. It appears to have some variation which may help make it not so harsh looking. I have seen quite a few photos online of house exteriors with that high contrast look. I have also seen photos where the roof is a medium gray color. (Photos below). Any other thoughts?

Personally, I think black is too stark.

Looking around for other discussions about Moire black and have heard it is a pretty soft black: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5900364/the-great-roof-color-debate-certainteed-landmark-charcoal-vs-moire

So maybe it wouldn’t be so harsh?
The charcoal color is not available in my area - I’ve heard it’s even darker than the Moire black. There is a Pewter color in the Landmark Pro line available and I’ve seen it on a house around here. My concern is that it looks very blue and is quite light.

Hello! Your home is very beautiful, and I like the changes you are going to make with the additions of black doors, shutters, and gutters!

I disagree with other commenters. I would strongly suggest going with the Moire Black shingles. I think black shingles will really help tie the whole outside together with the other black features. I don't think it will look harsh at all. I think it will make your home look a little more modern and stately.

I would certainly avoid any brown colored shingles, it seems you want to get away from that color, and you are already getting a lot of that color from the brick on the house.
