I am updating my kitchen but never thought to add a range hood . is it code? does that mean its required? i have a cabinet over the stove. while the backsplash wall is knocked out for the under cabinet lighting install , should i seriously think about telling the electrician to install an under csbinet ductless rsnge hood? We have none at fhe moment. or csn it be done at a later date after the new backsplash wall is closed back up? ive got enough expenses, didnt really want to add to it unless i should. does it get direct wired?
