Okna 600 vs Harvey classic?

Trying to decide if i go with okna 600 vs harvey classic for my window and siding project. These will be new construction windows . okna limits me to one contractor in massachusetts, where as all of them offer harvey classic. thoughts?

@toddinmn , I have no issue selling product only, you are correct, its an underserved market. There are a few reasons that I think most dealers shy away from doing it, but I've found them to be overblown.

To answer the original question: Yep, the Okna 600 is the better window decisively. You could consider hiring one company for the windows and another for the siding if you don't feel comfortable with those guys doing both. Are you doing pocket installs? New construction? The former would make it easier to break this up... Generally I recommend having one company do both to avoid finger pointing, but if there are valid reasons to do so it is possible. Just know that you will be stuck in the middle essentially as a GC trying to bridge the communication gap between the two companies.

If you elect to pick just one for the whole project I'll say this: The Okna dealer may or may not do great siding work. The fact that they choose a premium window is a decent indication that they care about quality overall-- to the point that they put their money where their mouth is with an expensive window. Conversely, while the Harvey guys may do good siding work, their window of choice emphatically states that they are not "window guys".

I just wish more contractors could sell okna as we feel somehwat forced into picking one contractor to do everything just to get okna windows. they do not seem to get as good reviews on the siding they do. all the other vinyl siding companies basically use harvey products only

Unfortunately most of the the top vinyl products are typically dealer only installed and most do want to sell product only. There clearly is a gap that no one wants to fill when it comes to home owners and builders that want a superior product. Polaris does it but on a very limited area This is a big reason vinyl gets a bad name . There is a void to fill for sure.

we are doing new construction wimdows om hopes to get everything insulated as well as possible and to get new pvctrim as we have a lot of rotten wood/sills .maybe frames.

financially i think two separate projects wont work for us so we are leanong towards the window guys. the siding reviews for the company arent bad they just arent as glowing as the other company but they do get cery good window installation reviews . thanks again!!

The Okna 600 is a much better window, no comparison. The majority of window companies do not sell windows only. It can bring on some potential issues down the road.
