Pale yellow sheets and the blue in the wallpaper for duvet cover

Complete room before you decide. It depends how eclectic your daughter wants room to be - how old is she? You can’t go wrong with white bedding with colorful cushions.

I'd go with white and accent with colorful pillows, throw, etc...

My question with all of this is the wood ceramic tiles. Are you selecting those or are they already in the room and you are working around them?

I concur that you should do bedding last after everything else is in the room. The brown floor is making me lean towards white bedding.

I would not have selected that area rug to go with that wallpaper.

Well the rug is back ordered till August, so it may not be my final choice! If you have any thoughts, let me know.   

How old is your daughter? I've bought my kids' sheets mainly at Target. The Threshold brand ones specifically have held up well for the last 8 years (since we've had a child in a real bed vs crib). We also have a set of the Shabby Chic brand from Target that are 100% cotton that have been nice but more prone to wrinkle than the others. I just did a quick browse and saw some nice and cute (but not too juvenile) 100% cotton sets at Target online- some Pillowfort brand and some Poppy & Fritz. I personally prefer to have a print and color for my kids sheets and keep the quilt solid colored.

Maybe go for a yellow set and a blue set! These plaid ones are really cute, too!

Might be a good thing re: rug, as its pattern and colors + your wallpaper + yellow walls are not easy to work with. Let the rug be a backdrop and room/bedding will be much easier to coordinate.

It really depends on the look you/your daughter want, but a lighter rug with pale yellow walls would be complementary and will help soften the brown tiles.

It’s hard to recommend bedding without knowing her age or seeing the furniture, but if you use white sheets, it allows for all kinds of combinations. Think big picture/how you want room to feel and choosing will be easier. Stick to a few colors and mix patterns.

White sheets with some sort of embroidered edging, either double lines, waves, etc. in a contrasting color. They add a bit of interest without making too much of a statement.

WOW a lot going on so IMO plain one color bedding and probably white. IMO the wallpaper is the thing not working so if not done don't do it.

I guess my question is what does your daughter like this is her space . Those choices seem odd for an 11 yr old girl . Since the rug seems to be a no go IMO that is good then what you have a nice blue. white and yellow space so now the bedding can be a bit more busy. I do however need to know a bit about what she thinks . I for sure do not like the 2nd choice for a rug

When I was an 11 year old I had a pale yellow room. I have sweet memories of the space. I remember choosing the color.

The colors you are showing are lovely but we want to tie them together and right now they are floating without a connections. Maybe it's a new rug, maybe it's a different wallpaper. Are these your daughter's favorite colors? What does she love the most? She is a free spirit, Like a hippie? Or maybe free like Horses?

Maybe instead of wall paper chose a fun fabric Notice the crisp white sheets look great with this combination

After raising teo daughters, I would skip the wallpaper. It’s much easier to change the wall paint vs. stripping wallpaper.

I like the original rug more than the wallpaper also.

I always let my girls select their duvet cover - and then made other selections based off of that.

A bit more clarity would help, as I’m sure you are confused at this point and continued suggestions will continue to be random, without knowing more.

1. Assumed with the rug only available in August, is it out of the picture or not, as decor should be complementary (the wallpaper isn’t).

2. Have you already purchased the wall paper, as it should be the inspiration to tie things together.

If not bought, consider something more fun.

3. You mentioned your daughter has a free spirit, does that mean she would like a room to reflect that (ie: eclectic)? White walls would a good choice - opens up all kinds of options and will help lighten the room (due to the dark floor).
