I like deck floors to look as cloase as possible to tje interior floor next to it .I like the railings in the gray but you are right the floor is too much , The easy answer is some nice big colorful rugs on the deck the hard one is strip the dek and leave it natural just waterproofed .

Thanks Patricia, the unfortunate part is that the deck isn't in great shape, so that would be a huge undertaking and not sure it would look great after all that work.

A lighter shade of gray. F&B Dimpse 277 or Pavillion Gray 242 may work.

I don't think the color you selected is too dark. It's the color of the tree trunks and that always works in a natural setting. I would select an outdoor rug/s to establish eating and lounging areas on the deck.

If you install an outdoor rug contrasting with the deck and outdoor furnishing, the setting will be quite handsome.

Jeez I hope you used a wood stain and NOT paint on that wood or you'll have a maintenance nightmare in your future.

The gray works. Area rugs, as has been suggested, will make a big design statement and the deck is the “chorus”.
