That doesn't look like a wild garlic. It looks like cultivated garlic which had escaped. I don't understand 'cloves growing like a flower'. Those are scapes which will open to reveal the garlic blossoms. They're not cloves which are the individual sections of the garlic bulb. Or do you mean that some of the scapes contain small cloves? If so that's normal.

Agreed. Looks like regular hardneck garlic. What you are seeing is the natural growth cycle. If the flower scapes are left to grow the flowers will produce bulbils, small seed-like growths (for lack of a better term). Once the plant dies down the bulbils will fall off and regrow. Which is likely why you have "a ton of it".

That is why I posted. I have never seen wild garlic but suddenly finding a bunch in my front yard, when I am growing it in the backyard, seemed like an amazing coincidence. I do suspect mine somehow got planted there and is expanding. I have seen scapes do this on some of my garlic.

Still a suprise. Very curious how this happened. Some is right where my trash goes. One time I thrw out some garlic that I ordred to plant but it did not look good. On rare occasion coons get into my trash. Very rare but my best guess is they spread the garlic and it somehow then moved and spread almost 100 yards from where my trash is.

That is my theory.
