Sunken area of living room is 22ft X 15ft…tv will go on stone wall after mantle is installed ..also a new gas insert being installed soon…trying to avoid having all the furniture pushed up against sunken edge as we have had it in the past when we have tv on a cabinet in corner

Since there is a potential tripping hazzard there, with that sunken room, the original furniture up against that area, is still a good idea. However, in the original, you have chairs etc all lined up against the wall, so that needs to change.

Saw this one and it made me think of your room.

It looks like you can easily either do a sofa, or small sectional, facing the TV on the rock fireplace and then place either another sofa facing the windows, or 2 chairs facing the windows. Below are just a few designs to give you an idea of what size furniture might fit well in this sunken living room.
