Can't really say without seeing the rest of the space. Maybe your seating area is cramped and this space should be incorporated into it ... but who knows since we can't see the rest of the room?

Either a console table behond the sofa or against the wall below the window.I can’t know withiut seeing the while room, but I think it is often nice to float a sofa away from a wall as you have done

Thanks for posting your floorplan. I believe this is a fairly accurate grid with each square representing one sq ft. It may help you and other posters suggest furniture placement. Can you post the dimensions of your sectional? Also, will it be facing a TV, and do you have other furniture you’d like to use in this room?

I don't have the dimensions of your sectional but I think a layout such as below would work.

- Move your sofa slightly out of the bay window area

- Long console table behind the sofa with a lamp & your yellow chair

- Move the area rug forward

- Replace your set of 2 coffee tables with one large coffee table (oval, round or square)

- Place 2 ottoman/poufs between the table and your TV cabinet

- Place a floor reading lamp at the end of the sofa

- Art on the wall

- Window treatment (natural fibre roman shades shown)

- A few plants

@ffpalms your suggestions have been beautiful..sectional is approx 9.5’ , and yes my sectional will be facing the TV

Try a sofa table behind the sectional. Then you can place plants and lamps on it. If that isn't needed it looks like a great space for yoga.
