I like it! What is the name of the rug?

Not all blues are alike. Some can lean violet. IMO your selection just seems a bit dark for the area with the brown sofa and dark blue chairs.

It's not easy buying rugs online. I recommend people order the smallest size rug available to check the color before making a final decision about ordering that larger area rug. Hauling around those large rugs is like moving a dead body.

Love the dead body analogy. I like the rugs you selected, and yes is really difficult to buy online….. I think I can still return it. Yikes what an effort. The last one resonates. Is it from Houzz?

WOW your first photo looks like a violet blue chair and the rug a teal blue. But then the next photo looks just fine.

I would have to be in person to see if it really looks terrible. If you like it, I am sure it will work.

I am weird about blues. I find I carry swatches of all my blue shades from paint to fabric because I like them to be seamless. But this is not always the case for some people.

The rug is fine. Absolutely fine with the blue chairs.

imo, you just need a throw that ties the blues and browns together.You need a throw on the sofa. Or it could be two throws - a brown and blue in a solid. But if you are open to a pattern, I think a patterned throw could add some nice visual interest.

I like the rug - once you add your coffee table or ottoman and a throw pillow on each blue chair i think it will work (i do think the blue chairs need a pillow each to break up the blue) — FWIW your leather couch and blue chairs make me think of this annie selke ottoman

The blues are great; it’s the color of the wall around the fireplace that throws things off. You need one neutral wall color (not blue).

I find blues hard to get right but I see really yellow lighting which in itself affects color I love 4000K LEDs but mybe try 3500K bulbs then choose colors .Look at the pic do you see the natural light by the window and how yellow the room lighting is . I think the cairs are agreat color of blue but the rug first is a different texture and maybe a rug with just touch of blue would be abetter choice I have no idea what the wall colr is arround the FP I only see yellow

You should have selected a rug first, then coordinate your fabrics with that - but that ship has sailed. I think you need a patterned rug that ties in the sofa and the chairs. Otherwise, there’s too much blue and the sofa looks left out of the equation. Also, a patterned rug can make the non-matching blues less noticeable. Blue is one of the most difficult colors to match.

That's a good point about bringing in the brown and the blue into the carpet pattern. That combination is easier to find in a more traditional patterned rug.

I think it looks great! Introduce an accent color in some throw pillows to tie everything together. And please, no 4000K bulbs in this room.

The wall color is a darker cream color. Will a 3500K help or should it go more white to the 5000k range? I don't know enough about LED colors.

Of all the options you were provided I think your rug works better actually and in a contemporary/subtle way pulls the room together, including the chairs. The bench seat fabric is very complementary. Trust your instincts when adding a coffee table, as you have a lovely room.
