Look at BM Healing Aloe. I would move away from gray. Pick neutral with some color to it. Maybe even a pale sage green.

I agree, no gray. Healing aloe is a nice refreshing color. You may want to have a look at it. Your house looks very nice, but, it could use a few pops of color.

Lovely space. on another topic, your curtain rod should not extend beyond the curtains- finial rod only. Adding one more panel to each side would make for a less skimpy look.

Hi Lise, thanks so much for your picture above. We plan on getting new window treatments the minute we paint. So we arent too picky with having it match againest our drapes. Once we pick out a wall colour we thrn need to figure out what colour drapes. We want the house to feel warm but not dated. Should we also use matching drapes on the other two windows?

We are currently redoing our entire kitchen in a nice bright white subway tile with Sherwin-Williams Pure White on the walls and I couldn’t be happier. I’m sick of seeing gray everywhere, personally I think yours looks beautiful as is. If anything I would just try to throw some fun accents around the room for happy interest… definitely some more plants and then some cool prints on the walls. Etsy has everything you could need in that department and with any luck you’re even supporting some smaller artists :)

Thanks so much everyone for your comments - especially the drapes (I didn't know that about the rod) but totally agree that the drapes look a bit sparse, we are looking to replace all the drapes once we get some paint on the wall. Since our home isn't huge we were hoping to pick a colour that is light since we aren't fans of anything dark.... our painter recommend classic grey but since we have alot of natural sunlight, you don't really see much of it.. was also worried about grey being out dated.

We are returning back to the BM store this week to buy some more samples... will definitely take a look at healing aloe too.

Yes all windows in the living room area should have the same window treatment. If you'll be replacing the curtains, I would hang them a bit higher up and install the rod so that it extends on both sides of the window to fit a curtain panel that slightly overlaps the window.

We were looking at maybe doing classic grey in the main living space and pale oak in our two bedrooms (since we get alot of sunlight). We still need help on a trim/ceiling colour.

What colour drapes would match a classic grey (almost has a warm beige colour to our home).

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what else we can include in our living space or hallwall? Any help would be appreciated.

We purchased a few large size (gold brushed picture frames) that we can put our wedding photos in... not sure if we should incorporate them in our living space at all or keep them in our bedroom?

I love BM Healing Aloe I oftn cut it 25-50% for less color but always works with everything and all kinds of wood .
