Here's a picture of the variegated variety. The flowers are small but they are there and bright pink so the hummingbirds do find them. The plant also comes in a non-variegated variety with either yellow or pink flowers.

portulaca, iron cross oxalis

getgoing, I already grow IC oxalis on my front porch, but portulaca would be different… it’s my BIL’s favorite plant and I’ve never grown it!

I actually meant purslane rather than portulaca. I have found purslane to be easier to grow and consistently overwinter indoors. Here is one I am growing for the 3rd or 4th year. It is growing indoors this year as I have no balcony space to spare for it

It's one of those sold everywhere for summer, not the weed (which i believe is the species and has tiny flowers and is used in cooking by some). There are many colors available these days, including bicolored flowers. Keep an eye out next season, late spring/ early summer, you can get a hanging basket or get a 4" pot and grow on. I got this 3/4 years back for $1/2 from discount rack at lowes.
