We just had our floors sanded and finished. I walked into the house today to find these waves throughout the floors. They are flat most places, but the glare from the windows really brings out these waves. The guy said it’s because of the knots in the floors. They are white oak. We had them done before and were totally flat. I’m unhappy about the results and I don’t know I should have them refinish the floors again. They told me they couldn’t guarantee it would get rid of the waves or could possibly make it worse. So, I have been hesitant in having them refinish the floors in fear it will not improve or come out worse. What do you recommend? Is this acceptable? I know we’ll have furniture down and rugs, but still so frustrating.
