From the little bit we can see of your furniture/decor, I like the credenza you already have. I think it would look more balanced if you set the tv on it instead of hanging it on the wall.

Your TV is way too high. The furniture below it should be several inches wider than the TV. This would preclude having drapery panels because there wouldn't be enough room. If you show us pictures of the rest of the room we might be able to suggest window coverings and furniture for beneath the TV.

I agree that the current chest is interesting and that you should try to find another place for it in the room.

IMO the TV is way too high and even sitting on that credenza it will be too high. and the credesnza is also to narrow it should be 25% wider than the the TV. I do need to see the whole space please. Along with above comments/suggestions, I think the room could do with some added personality for the windows; however, drapes will not fit in this scenario. A really nice Roman shade can add color and texture depending on the rest of the room and your design style. If you stick with neutrals, I think something with a natural texture but lighter than your wall color would add charm. If you have a bit of a color palette happening, it would be fun to bring a little color to the Roman shades.

I think the overall design plan would determine what you need for under the TV. In this case black may be too dark, and wood tones will be dependent on the rest of the room and how it coordinates with your floors. If you were my client, I would need additional room pictures/style inspo/measurements and I would start to test different design and palette options in a room mockup (or bring samples to the actual space). Thanks for the pics I do not like those mismatched sofas , I agree a much lower cabinet with the TV at the proper viewing height the seating you use to watch TV should face the TV and 2 matching sofas and a2 chairs in not mtching the soafs but maybe a print to add a bit of color and life to the space . BTW I have leather every where in my home have had for a very long time I have however mixed the leatger with fabric chairs sometimes .A coffee table needs to be reachable for seating so one that serves the sofa should be near the sofa then a table between 2 chairs also think where you would put a drink down that is where you need a table of some sort .

I'm not usually a fan of different sofas, but try moving the brown sofa where the two lounge chairs are now. Keep the art. This way it will create a cohesive vignette. Or move the large sofa to the existing tv wall and the tv on the wall between the openings. There's something disturbing about seeing a tv right away, especially in that lovely room. The nice thing about furniture is it can be moved around!

Agree on lowering the tv with a low cabinet underneath. Better for viewing, doesn't need to be tilted.

Add a rug as large as possible and a much bigger coffee table. 18" from the edge of the sofa (when moved to the other wall).

I love window treatments, art and lighting. The layering adds sophistication and focus.

Here's some inspiration pics for simple window treatments. Panels, ceiling to floor. Consider printed linen (Pierre Frey or Boussac of France) OR plain fabric with trim.

You can mix window treatments also. The side window on the left front corner, can be a shutter or roman shade. If you are considering panels, they should be 2-1/2 times the width of the window, even if always pulled back. Skimpy fabric would not enhance the room.

Imagine these rooms without fabric treatments. The lushness of the fabric brings it to another design level. Think of it like a painting without a frame.

Before you trash the white cabinet under the tv, consider this:

Remove the legs.

Spray it black semi gloss.

Paint just the edge around the medallions gold leaf.

Change the hardware to brushed gold.

Move to wall where the existing lounge chairs are now located.

There are wonderful dyi black furniture paint on the market and very easy to use. They are durable and worth a try before you buy something else. My son's friends have successfully painted all kinds of wood furniture and it's amazing. Looks brand new.

I love those curtains!!!!! So fluffy 🤣 and then it comes to what color. So many different shades of every color. 🤯🤯🤯

Take a look at printed linen. It's subtle and the prints are beautiful no matter what you choose. A pattern will grab you. The only issue will be the amount of fabric you will need. My suggestion is to find a window treatment person in your area to measure, fabricate and install. It's worth the $.

I would suggest a simple printed neutral. You can always accessorize with a rug and pillows and objects.

Do you have an inspiration pic you've been carrying around? You can go to any style as you have a blank slate. It would help to see if you want your room safe or a statement.

Thanks for sharing your room photo with us! I really love the room and the potential you have here. Id be happy to help send you some recommendations on how to stage the space, but first, is all the pictured furniture staying? It looks like one sofa may be unfinished on one end (the fabric).

You can definitely play with mixing/matching fabric and leather, but typically either the sofas are leather and accent chairs are fabric OR the accent chairs are leather and the sofas are fabric.

I've recently started doing client case studies where I take problem rooms and do a 3D mockup of what your room COULD look like. I'd be happy to do your room as one of my demos if you have room measurements you could send me! I think visualizing what things COULD look like, especially with window treatments etc, will help give you a solid direction moving forward through the rest of this project.

personal opinion: Remove mirror, remove green plant, dark sofa near window remove and replace with same color as other sofa. + intall black blinds.
