Hello! We JUST moved into a small home that has one great room (kitchen, dining, family) which I love. We moved from CA to PDX to be near our daughter and her family, from a 2400sq ft home to 1574 sq ft. The one piece of furniture from our old house that we really cared about keeping is a 7-1/2 ft handmade dining table. In the old house we had old fashioned chairs (upholstered red which was kinda fun) that were my mother-in-law's and we left those behind. We would like to get 6 comfy chairs as we will be hanging out at this table a lot. All of our furniture is dark (a lot of Pottery Barn). And we have dark bamboo floors. We know the table probably overwhelms the space but for now we don't want to give it up so please don't try to talk us out of it!! Thank you for any suggestions!
