Do cars ever park there? Is that your house behind the fence or someone else’s?

Could you give us a bigger picture, maybe from the street? It’s hard to get a feel for what this space is all about.

I noticed the kids' bikes. Is there parking for those behind that fence? If not, consider something to screen them. It could be a lattice with a vine or a tall rectangular planter with tall plants. One of of favorite fish restaurants has a virtual fence around the patio that is just old 55 gallon drums with tall fountain grass. It's watered with a small drip line.

Add to your large planters. An arrangement of 3 coordinated pots with shade loving plants or small shrubs would brighten the corner. A chimenea would be a nice addition for the fall with your seating. You can hang garden art work and or solar lighting on the fence. It all depends on your style choices from quirky painted or rustic metal pieces to classic stone or terra cotta sculptures.

Driveway repair then decor and large planters with plants thta do well in shade and the bikes put away or the decor is useless I fo sure would not do seating .

We definitely want to redo the driveway-our neighborhood is surrounded by trees and this has all recently gotten so bad like this 😩 it’s just so expensive so just trying to work with what we got 😥

I wouldn’t ”decorate” the area at all. I wouldn’t want to call attention to it, so I would remove everything and leave it clean and bare.

I was thinking that also-last thought-I simplified it-still get rid of everything or what about just the big pot?

Could you use more outdoor living space? You had a seating area. Can this area be seen from the street?

Adding privacy if needed would make a difference. It would be nice with the hanging pots shown on the fence plus a colorful outdoor rug and flower pots. Umbrella and bistro table,
