I have a Samsung counter depth french door refrigerator from around 2012.

I had not used the icemaker in months. I was swapping the water filter and was going to dump out the old ice so it would refill with fresh ice for guests visiting this week.

I noticed the ice storage was only half full. I dumped out the old ice and I see no new ice is coming.

I tried toggling the ”ice off” button off and on, but no change.

Water dispensing works fine.

Is there anything else that can be done, or does this mean the ice maker definitely needs to be replaced?
