Keep in mind that you're inviting some design pros and people with a design eye into your home via photos. If they walked into your actual space, they would take in all of it: all four sides, doorways, floors, windows, ceiling, built-in fixtures, lighting, trim--the "givens"--then the features that can be changed--furnishings, paint, art, rugs, decor items, etc. It's all one first impression. Same thing with photos. That's why it's important to provide well lit photos of the entire space, taken from all sides of a room regardless of the size of your problem.

Since you mentioned plants... Maybe go for a corner shelf! One with a low profile frame, maybe glass or slatted bamboo so it lets light through?

You could also try a curtain treatment kinda like this? It makes them look more connected, and you could pop a single plant stand or tiny round table there with a plant on it to round and soften the corner(:

Are you sure you have the bed on the best wall?

You can take out the bench which is useless and add a tropical plant if you like

I would have nightstands on either side of the bed and taller lamps.

Based on the picture, it seems like everything is squeezed into one side of room. Would this layout work and both the bed and window area will have more breathing room.

I would remove that bench and find a new home for it. Consider hanging plants for the corner. There are lots of nice ones found on Etsy. Floor area there can be open for a spacious feel.

The bed on another wall would push the bed on one side right up against the wall. We want to keep both sides of the bed open since we do not want beds right next to the wall. The bench is for storage since the closet is small but we will have to find storage elsewhere if we remove it. What is a corner shelf

We are not a fan of hanging plants but thank you! My daughter said it reminds her of an old lady look but we will try the tall

If the bed is facing the tv there is no space for a night console, the bed would be right up against the wall (on the right side of the bed). We felt a night stand was more important to have so we went with this layout (current night stand pictured will move to the other side of the bed). …..

I would put nothing in that corner and add a wide shelf next to the closet you can decorate with a few plants.

Will the dresser fit on the wall to the right of the closet? That would give more breathing room on that side of the bed and allow for a larger nightstand.

You can put a small planter pot or group of small planter pots on a geometric blue hue rug here.It should not reach the window level yet will give an elegant look.

No the dresser would block the closet. That wall is smaller 😏
