Window treatment help! French door & large window

Hello! Need advice for 2 things....

1. Window treatments for french door & front window. I'm leaning toward a shade for french door bc the sun is blaring in my yard in the summer. Woven wood attached to the top? Want simple & low maintenace

Also need for the big front casement windows. I have the PB cast iron rod so was thinking .a neutral drape but i need a shade bc its close to street so have to have privacy. Would woven wood be too much brown or do i go with cellular or something else? light, dark color?

2. The space on each side of french door needs something. I have very little space to put art, photo frames etc so was thinking narrow tiered shelves ? Do i have to match each side?

Wall are edgecomb gray.

Hey Nicky!

For the French doors, a woven wood shade would be great for filtering the sun, but if you need more light control, a lined or roller shade in a neutral tone might work better. For the front window, a neutral drape with a light-colored cellular shade would keep things airy while adding privacy.

For the space beside the doors, narrow, tiered shelves are a great idea. They don’t have to match exactly. You could do shelves on one side and framed art or a sconce on the other to keep it balanced.

Thank you!! i have these 2 samples from Curtarra curtains for front window. The right one (called Harris beige gray) is what you'd recommend or lighter? My other issue is the room height is 94" so i need custom drapes bc 84 is too small & 96 too big. Or is it worth it to buy 96 & have them hemmed? or try another custom site?

The 2nd pic is the room on the other side that has neutral cellular shade. Think i should just match it & do the neutral curtain? i think that would prob look best :)

For your door you use bottom-up top-down honeycomb shades that install as outside mount or inside mount to your door. Make sure it is mounted on all 4 corners, so it does not dangle around while opening the door or with wind. For your windows you use three individual inside mount bottom-up top-down shades. Keep the design integrity of the window and maximize light and privacy.

I have Andersen casement windows on each side window. It’s a very narrow depth so I need something that’s not too bulky. What cellular shade has the smallest depth that would look ok for an inside mount? The ones in my other room are Bali & stick out a little

@Nicky Marie Our narrow depth shades are only 1 inch in depth and do install to a shallow depth of only 1/2 inch.
