It's the wrong place to ask. I know only three individuals with memberships here, including myself. I haven’t received my roses yet—too early to judge.

I think if you order this year from them , you will likely get very good plants as they are have good stock and delivery. People have reported problems in the past, and next year they are changing their business model.

  • last year

I ordered 2 roses in March 2023. I got them plus a free rose they offered for the delay in January. 2025. The bare roots were fine - I have potted them. Am sure they will grow just fine. When I would ask them about the status of my roses - they replied in a timely manner. I appreciated the free rose. But waiting nearly 2 years for roses? Not thrilled with that. I feel they shouldnt have accepted my payment with them having problems......I think they have tried to get my order out....liked the free rose........but didnt like the constant delays and I think I would be reluctant to order from them again.......unless there was something I simply couldnt live without. I do wish them success - but I have ordered quite a few roses from other sources this year and have no need to chance it again when there are other vendors. One Love Roses, that used to be Chamblees, had some start up problems, now they seem to be doing fine - I have ordered from them for a spring shipment.

I don’t want to open a can of worms, but DA seems to be doing the same thing. Roses ordered in September 2024 that don’t meet DA's standards will only be delivered in my zone by Spring 2026.

By the way, due to the deportation of immigrants, many field workers have disappeared. Who knows how this might have affected rose deliveries…

  • last year

For the DA warranty replacement, a monetary refund was not an option; they promised a replacement next season. If DA does not send me Jubilee Celebration, I plan to cancel the entire order. The other two roses were ordered primarily to offset the shipping cost. We'll see how it turns out.

  • last year

Elena when did you buy Jubilee Celebration and how did it fail?

  • last year

These are two different roses. Munstead Wood, a rose from last season, failed. JC, a rose from this season, is most likely to be canceled.

  • last year

So are you saying they refuse to give you a refund on Jubilee Celebration-- like they offered me?

  • last year

No, I am not saying that. I am saying that I do not need other 2 roses without JC and would like to get refund for the whole order. Any other questions?

David Austin did offer me A monetary refund When 1 of my roses died. I chose a replacement

Carla, there seem to be some difficulties in our communication. You are attributing statements to me that I did not make. I will leave you with your position and am not willing to argue or correct the statements you have assigned to me.

I asked GRF for a refund for a rose which died & was given a refund 2023. They offered replacements firy, but I asked for a refund so they gave a refund. I had some roses delivered healthy in 2023., also.

For delayed roses from Fall 2022-to spring 2023 GRF sent me a free large Constance bouquet gift! Gorgeous! Thank you!

I have seen many happy customers this season on Facebook so far with GRF. Excited about my orders coming this year. .

It has been a joy receiving unique and rare roses from Grace Rose Farm. As said before, I have seen many happy customers this year on Facebook. Even there are many customers on ”Growing Roses with GRF.” Facebook for this season that have received excellent orders . i have seen their healthy orders.

GRF offered me a couple replacement roses, free gifts, such as my free Cinstance bouquet $119, and refunds to me and other customers for last season if products were unsatisfactory. I did receive sevetal roses last season that I loved, also! Last season is over, where she had an issue with her supplier, a law suit, causing her problems that season, which she attempted to remedy with customers

She is selling a diffetent product this season 2025. which is very successful I have seen thus far. I have only seen satisfied customers this year so far with this years service.

This thread actually was titled about GRF membership. So getting back to the topic. I looked into imembership, but too late for myself as it was ended. for last year subscription. GRF membership: Customers receive 2 free roses, gifts, first pick of new roses for the season, invitations to lovely events at her farm, & maybe more. I need to read it again. I thought the membership could actually almost pay for itself when I read it recently. I see membersat seasons opening bought out many if the new varieties before non-members even saw them for this season. So membership was worth it especially for those who bought first. Many people bought large quantities of roses for their farms and gardens such as 50, 80, 150 roses for this season, already delivered and satisfied customers, shown on facebook. Membership for customers who buy large quantities of roses appears to be helpful to buy first before roses sell-out. Membetship for those who want rare roses before sold out may be helpful, too. Belonging to her membership to attend events and receive discounts/gifts soubds good, too.

Grace has a marketing degree and a fkorist farming background before she started to sell rose bushes. Therefore she has a more interesting type of business to offer a certain targeted audience. She offers more savy-updated and artistically colorful marketing similar to more of the savy businesses. Not your usual nursery. Belonging to her membership, joining her Facebook is belonging to a social club with events. She has Live Streams on her social Facebook to educate and answer questions and simply socialize. Many like belonging to her social media rose community. Shecalso has I stagram which is fun! Lots of live videos!

She now has given many roses and bouquets to her social media customers and those that volunteer to help her business and customers.

This year I conversed with her regarding education of customers and a few other ideas and I received responses within one day and I saw her positive responses and her instantly addressing and implementing great ideas as a result ! Excellent customer service for me this year.

During this season there were restocks and sales opportunities for customers and I received great value discounts on rare roses I ordered!!

What I do find i interesting is that she has tapped a market for being one the first entrepreneurs to “sell rare florist, wedding and Japanese roses, and bouquets and start a social club all within her business., with beautiful marketing!”

I saw photos of her Soiree Event at her home and beautiful gardens!! If I lived in CA I would have gone! Simply lovely. It is an idealic CA event!

I enjoy seeing her artistic business explore new ways to satisfy customers and I have enjoyed being her customer.

    My Fee Gift Constance Bouquet

GEF gace out a lot if free bouquets to customers whose orders were delayed from 2022-2023 spring. I choose the free bouquet Constance and then waited u til spribg to receive my roses. What company is that generous to satisfy their customers?

This season 2025 seems to be a good season for GRF with many many happy customers.

Thank you, Kitty, for the great post!

It’s impossible to make everyone happy, but I can see how hard GRF is working to fulfill their obligations from the previous season and make this season successful.

Just a year ago, we couldn’t have imagined seeing Japanese and rare European roses available in the U.S. She has taken all the effort and risks to make it happen, which is a lot for a business of her size. Now, we can be sure that breeders are being compensated for their efforts in creating new roses.

What also amazes me is that she considers her rose customers a valuable asset to her company. She is smart enough not to rely solely on traditional marketing research but instead listens to what people are saying and what roses they want.

I hope this season will be successful for everyone!

    Elena,

    You’re Welcome! Wonderful comments!

Yes, Grace is listening to her customers to improve her business!

I will update the 3 roses I received from GRF in January. They are leafing out and doing very well - they were very nice bareroots that arrived well packed. I potted them - and feel sure when I plant them in the ground, they will grow and bloom well. I lost money on a rose company several years ago, he had in the past sent really nice minis and minifloras. He went bankrupt - never answered calls, emails, and just left people hanging and we lost our money. I heard later that he died. So.....I was skeptical of not receiving my roses again but it all worked out and hopefully the problems GRF experienced are solved and her business can move forward. Sounds like she is working hard to make this happen. I would probably feel comfortable with ordering from this company again.

My 3 roses are still in their pots. 2 are doing well.....one, which had been doing well, started to decline for some unknown reason. It has 1 good cane and am hoping it will recover. Other 2 are ok - for now. I dont know anything about gall.........can someone tell me what to look for and a bit about it? Thanks..........A

After hearing recent comments........not ordering again. I waited too long to get my roses - there are too many other companies I can order from. And there are nurseries between my town and Tyler Tx.........a friend and I made a road trip Friday and I got a few beautiful roses. 2 tree roses - Time After Time and Marmalade Skies - just gorgeous........$35 each. I never paid much attention to either - MS to me doesnt photo well but the blooming rose is just beautiful! Time After Time has beautiful petals. So........I dont need to take a chance on an iffy company..........the tried and true ones will get my business. I do hope the Grace roses make it.........after the wait and the money spent.

I ordered two roses. They sent one full size and two of the other because they were smaller. OK. One did not survive. Never came to life once I planted it. I wrote to them. No response. Wrote again. No response. I'm not too bothered because I did get both roses after all, but it's a bed model not to respond to customers.

Hu - did you submit the claim for refund/ replacement on the website form? That’s how I got my refunds.

Hope this can help you but I’d try directly emailing either Julio or Oriana. Both are incredibly helpful. I think their email is firstname@gracerosefarm.com. I think if you’re a member you should get a response very quickly but even not, you should get something in a few days.

It is my understanding that if you report the claim to the better business bureau, you will likely be refunded.

Good Luck and definitely try April & Ashley for future purchases (Far superior product and people) and join their April & Ashley Rose farm Forum- it is much more honest and informative than any minute wasted in the GRf marketing group.

The Better Business Bureau is completely toothless. Businesses pay to be members of it. I once saw it referred to as Yelp for old people, lol.

@susan9santabarbara agree, that’s what I always thought, but I have read on the bbb website where grf (Ryan and the new cs lady) both have replied and it appears some folks have been refunded, so worth a try and anything to get your hard earned money back. That company will continue to cause stress, they absolutely thrive on fake and ugly and hope folks will be quiet, so we may as well warn and send it there, because at least folks can see those complaints/ negative reviews.

I strongly disagree. BBB always works for me.

To answer the initial question and title of this thread........it's a scam. Now can we go on to other topics. Diane

    Yes total scam!
