Hmm. I’ve seen plenty of polished and sealed concrete floors that are all but impervious. My office has such a floor. You couldn’t affect it with anything short of industrial acid etc. I would think a concrete countertop can be finished similarly?

Step back and rethink. Real concrete counters are terrible. ‘Concrete’ ceaserstone looks great in samples but my stone yard won’t even sell it they’ve had so many problems. Porcelain counters have a long list of issues from chipping to the fact that every edge has to be mitered. Want a neutral counter with no seams? Corian. Tried and tested forever. Warm to the touch, feels soft, repairable. Best thing is not one of your friends will even know what it is.

They haven't resolved the sintered chipping problem and the repairs are rarely inconspicuous. If you want white concrete looking countertops, you can't beat solid surface. You're not calling your designer to fix chips.

Corian is solid surface. Less expensive, more functional than porcelain.
