How to remodel small bathroom with a high longways vaulted ceiling

I don't know what to do with my ugly bathroom. The tub/shower is behind the door. Vaulted ceiling starts a little way up from back shower wall. A toilet sits facing doorway to the right of that is a long sink and mirror facing the shower. The ceiling is very high over mirror and sink

Start with unvaulting the ceiling most likely. Weird ceilings and ledges are never suited to smaller spaces that you want to keep warm and non drafty.
