One slab enough?

No I have 3 on hold of each. I need to pick one and release the other

Is your island large enough to require a seam / book matching? If so the last one seems more appropriate (if they are cut correctly for that)

I tend to like the more striated look - but that also presents challenges if you have a kitchen with a lot of corners because then the grain can look goofy.

It will require one seam near the sink but otherwise will look pretty seamless

For Taj Mahal, I prefer the more "swirly" slabs and not the "striped" ones. I've used "swirly" ones in 2 kitchens.

What do you prefer?

The one that isn't so linear.

I like them both, and rather prefer the waves in the stripey one because it's a bit different than most Taj I've seen. However, it seems like that one would be tougher to get seams right. For either one, make sure you are involved in the templating process so you can see how the seams will look.

I don't 'specially love either one, but -- if pushed to choose between these two alone -- I'd go with the second one, as it has less gray than the first one, and the lesser "movement" is nicer.

I like the one that doesn't have the really defined stripes on it. It's difficult to tell if one slab is cooler toned than the other because the tone of the slabs look different in the various photos.

Taj Mahal is hard to photograph and tend to look gray/cool in photos, when IRL they are off-white/beige/warm.

Linear movement works best on large islands or a long straight outside wall. If you have an L or Ushape kitchen, avoid linear!

I don't like the linear one.

Throwing another option into the mix! I think this has the prettiest movement. My only concern is that some slabs have pink undertones and a pink countertop would look terrible in my house!

Here is option number 3

. this new #3 reads slightly brown undertones ..probably the most neutral of all . not certain what the clash would be .....your spaces arent shown the light bulbs and/or UV can have an effect. I like #3.

Which pulls on your heart strings and also trust your gut. If you don’t fall in love/know it‘s right, keep looking as it’s a huge commitment. We went with a slab that was recommended when picking and knew in an instant when being installed it was wrong and it never grew on me.
