They are typically mechanically interchangeable. If the e27 device comes with a 240V plug you'll have to change that as well to use it in the US.

The light should be labeled 120V, and if meant for the U.S. it would be. Lights from the E.U. and Asia use the E27 size socket, but the E26 'bulb' base fits in the E27 socket, they are only 1mm different so just a slight wiggle but doesn't affect function.
