Awkward Bathroom / Laundry area co-space

We have an akward bathroom sink area in lower level of our house that shares a space with our washer / dryer and laundry countertop.

We would like to replace the original 80” long vanity with a countertop with one sink and possibly a tall storage cabinet.

Or should we take away the sink all together and just have a countertop and storage cabinets.

I also think we should take the folding doors off of the laundry area

This area is kind of a hallway into a small bathroom - the bathroom has an additional sink, toilet and bathtub

Thank you for any ideas / suggestions

Draw and MEASURE the existing space accurately, every wall, door, window, opening to the inch.

Until you do that? It is good guess only. Upload a very neat , legible jpeg. Bold so it can be read. Use graph paper, 1/4 " ( box ) to a foot or 2 1/4 inch boxes to a foot. Remember walls have a thickness of 4", so show them.

Yes please pics in these cases are not worth a drawing to scale . Show every window, doorway where those lead too. Post here in jpeg format in a comment DO NOT strt another post.

It sounds like the entire area needs to be redone. How many sinks do you need? Can you remove any walls?

Given that the sink in the toilet cubby looks like it has no counter space and you have a bunch of stuff that is commonly found on bathroom counters on the long one, I would not get rid of the sink/counter combo. A much shorter counter/sink with a tall cabinet would still give you plenty of room for toothbrushes on the counter.

If you leave the door of your washer open and the folding doors don't close, then I'd get rid of them, unless they are closing off the toilet nook, in which case, I'd keep them. It would be tedious to have to wait until someone's done with the toilet to finish folding your laundry.

Would you be ok loosing the sink and using the one in the bathroom? Do you need storage, if yes this would be a great area for added storage and you can even keep a laundry sink if you wanted to since it is already plumbed in. I would go with pantry cabinets on either side of the sink with upper cabinets between them and a laundry/single deep sink.

Thank you everyone for taking time to respond. We decided to replace the old tile sink vanity with a sink / counter combo and tall linen cabinet.

The existing cabinet is 81” - I’m trying to figure out an Ikea combo or other easy product that would work. Maybe a 48” vanity and 30” wide linen closet.
