No worries. After roses establish roots, if own-root, they will most lijely griw back from roots -new canes. Dark Desire looks like it just has tips a little black-prune black oarts-tips only. It is fine. If it’s a littlecred-it often maybe green inside-prune toos ofcred areas & when you see green inside-even just little green & white centers-keep them. You can remove whole cane if all brown inside it. Some brown canes are green inside-so prune a little to check.

Earth Angel looks like winter black canes? If black canes-prune off diwn to where you see green inside cane-May need to remove most of Eart Angels canes maybe down to roots if you see no green insude canes.

As long as roots didn’t freeze for winter roses will regenerate.

I recommend fish liquid fertilizer weekly when pruning roses down to the roots ( whixh is stressful for a rose, bit needed.)-co tinue fish fertilizer weekly until they grow bushy , bloom and are super healthy. Then fertilizer once a month afterwards is good.

What Kitty said! Tip dieback is common over winter so just prune those off Dark Desire, it looks fine otherwise. You could use fish emulsion as Kitty suggests for the rabbit ravaged one, although I find a combination of a handful of alfalfa pellets spreas around the base, a good deep water and a fresh mulch of compost on top also works wonders in encouraging new canes to shoot out the ground. If, in your climate, you are still prone to freezes at this time and the roses are not really emerging from dormancy yet, I might wait a bit before nipping off the dead bits or feeding, until you see definite signs of new growth.

Your Earth Angel has a good chance of recovering. Give it time. I know how destructive rabbits are. They will stand up on their hind legs with their front legs on the chicken wire, bending it in, and stretch their bodies as long as possible to reach and eat a rose bush. Reinforcing the chicken wire is the answer.

Regarding your Dark Desire...looks like creeping canker. I've had my share of creeping canker cases over the years.

You spring prune to good piths of canes having nice green surfaces, only to come back in a few days to see the canes turning brown at their cut tips. A few days more and the brown progresses down the cane. Then blackening starts to follow above the brown below it on the stem. It's tough to combat.

I advise to prune down about 2 inches below the leading edge of the browning part of the cane. Make sure the pith is as near white as possible where you make the fresh cut, and make sure you pruned above an eye. Hopefully the creeping canker is stopped in its tracks, but I've had canes where the creeping canker continued on, and on, no matter how I repeatedly cut it off. Sorry to not give a better prognosis.

What causes it? A bacteria that has infiltrated a weakened bush through: winter damage that is not apparent until weather starts warming up in spring, is what I think is going on.
