I would select seating that had a lower back height to not create a visual barrier. That doesn't mean you can select a recliner sofa where the back raises up when sitting.

I would not use a sectional but a sofa and two chairs to keep the space visually larger.

Rework the fireplace TV built-in area, so you can place a TV slightly higher on the wall. Current hole was designed for older technology.

Would you possibly just center the fireplace on that wall and move the tv to the wall across from the windows?
