Match vs mix metals for my cabinet hardware?

In the middle of refinishing my kitchen, now I need to pick cabinet hardware. Currently I have all satin nickel knobs, I'm planning to replace at least all the drawer knobs to pulls, maybe even the cabinet knobs. Backsplash has not been installed yet, it will probably be a cream/ivory subway tile.
I've always pictured my kitchen with classic black pulls, like pic 3(pic 2 is me PSing what they might look like in my kitchen), but for one, I'm not sure if mixing metals is a good idea for my small kitchen and two, if my cabinets need to be painted a warmer tone to look good.
If not black, alternatives would be either a bronze-y gold like my faucet(might be hard to match), or the current color(nickel), although I am really not a big fan of a silver kitchen.

Order some samples (check the return policies) of black and brass pulls and see what you like. You already have brass (faucet and lights) and stainless (sink and appliances), so you might not want to introduce a third finish with black. But if black is what you've always wanted and makes you happy, I think it will be fine.

Replacing the knobs on drawers with pulls will require either a backplate on the pull or filling and painting the hole.

I would go with bronze for the hardware.

kitchen is a bit on the smaller size...the home looks traditional in aesthetic. I would work w the warm bronze of faucet and pendants. If you pick a slender diameter it wont be too much of the bronze....it will be the best touch on the nice cabinetry and overall pleasing compact kitchen. Dont care for the black so much in your space. find the right bronze.

the 1st looks chunkier but it has that gentle return at the ends which might be nice. Your faucet is colonial so maybe modern shape wouldnt be quite right. Just browse thru "top knobs " "hardware hut" or other sites.
