Frameless pivot half shower door for bathtub? Good idea?

Dear all, thanks again for your help!

We are considering to have a frameless pivot half shower door for our main bathroom, which will have a bathtub. Here is a computer rendering:

Here is an example that we got inspired from (NOT our bathroom):

As you can see, currently the rendering show a regular framed shower door. However, we are thinking of having an accent wall with fluted wood-look porcelain tiles above the bathtub, and we are concerned that a regular framed shower door might block the accent wall and won't allow us to showcase the accent wall. Then again, with an frameless pivot half shower door for bathtub, we are concerned about the water splashing risk and it may not be good for all users (this remodeled home might be a rental in the future, not decided yet). Any thoughts about this? Also how about the maintenance for such frameless half wall glasses? Thanks again for your help!

IME, it is nearly impossible to keep water from dribbling out when the swinging shower door is not quite returned to its perfect place. The puddle on the floor gets bigger and bigger if you don't get it exactly right.

We have had ours for 4 years in kids bathroom. We like it…we have a showerhead out of the ceiling so spray is directly down.

I have a fixed glass panel on my tub/ shower, and another on my walk-in shower in another bathroom. No water leak/ dribbling problems with either one. Do you need a swinging door?

I don't think there would be much water dribbling out, but it would likely depend on the showerhead type. I would use a fixed shower head with a handheld wand installed next to it. If you're concerned, you can have a fixed frameless glass wall on the right side that won't obstruct the view of the tiled wall because the supporting hinges would be on the sides of each wall. You'll want to match the hinge finish with the shower hardware so it's seamless.
