Tile Guru - help me ID this tile

Can any guru or tile shopper help me ID this tile design/name, or give me suggestion to similar designs? I saw it on the showroom/kitchen floor and the employee there said it was an old tile and they don't carry it anymore. Basically she's clueless (lol). The tile is slightly more beige-ish color.

Forget trying to find a tile match to any tile that's older than 18 months. But Daltile Enlite in Awaken is kinda close to that. It's matte, but you want matte. Shiny is slippery and difficult to keep looking good.

Tile gets discontinued all the time. Unless it’s very classic or a top seller it’s gone in a couple years. If she’s telling you it’s discontinued it’s probably discontinued. Focus your search on warm toned neutrals now that you know that’s what you like. We were in a tile store Monday with a client and same thing- she fell in love with a big install of limestone that was discontinued so we spent a couple hours trying other samples next to it to get close.

Do you really want the floors to be an eye catching element of your space that you’re going to have to design around? What about your counter tops? What about your backsplash? Are you ready to choose plain finishes for the rest of your kitchen elements so they don’t clash with your floors? And 10 years from now when you want a change, are you going to be willing to pull up those floors? You want your floor to be a background player, not a star. You want it to be an element that supports the other choices you make. Then research your choices through Google images to try to get a feel for your flooring options. Actually, maybe slow down your search until you’ve selected inspiration images for how you want your kitchen to look when it’s done. Otherwise you could end up with something like this seizure-inducing nightmare.

Based on the accent mosaic they did around that tile, it is beyond discontinued! That beige tile is probably 10 to 15 years old.

Search for "Travertine-look" porcelain tiles.

Ummm ... I am no expert, but, I like that loud tile pattern. (Though it's true, I guess it would dictate some choices.)

All my sympathy to the OP, we just went through picking out flooring, it is not easy at all. Unless you like gray. (Not that there's anything wrong with gray particularly. But, why is it everywhere? I don't understand ... ) Plus, I never knew there was a world of people re-doing their floors every few years. I did not know that that happened.

Most people do not re-do their tile floors every few years, but people who buy houses with tile floors they hate, might spend the money to renovate.

When I bought my previous house I knew I was going to renovate the 5 bathrooms, which we did over several years.

Gray was everywhere, but not as much the last few years. Big box stores will stock trendy stuff, so shop at local independent tile stores for a wider selection.
