Can you move the washer and dryer down the wall, farther from the door?

Put your sink in the corner where you show the tall cabinet, then run cabinets from the side of the dryer to the corner (40 inches wide). If you need tall storage, put it in the corner at the end and then extend upper cabinets all along the wall above the dryer, washer, sink. You could hang hooks on the left wall across from the cabinets.

I would put the sink next to the washer.

I like this idea a lot and I might wind up doing that, but there is already plumbing in that location for the sink. I’m trying to think of a creative option for keeping it there.

I agree with Moore4 that ALL cabinets should be on the long wall only leaving room to walk the length of the room.

you have water and a drain on the W/D side too.

Do you have top load washer or front? Utilize all the vertical space you can.

UP everywhere, even if you can't reach it, never enough storage.

Depending on where this laundry room is in relation to the rest of the house, you could add an icemaker where the water connection is.
