@freedomplace1 Thank you for the suggestions! I really like how the upholsted chairs look with the table. Only issue is we have a cat and she likes to scratch fabricated furnitures. But I might just take the risk because they do look better with the table.

Matching wood is much less important (or even not needed); while a chair’s style is. I really like (a nice blend of modern and classic) and suits your rug really well. Also consider durability…the light fabric and cane backs.

I need to see thetable in the space how can you begin to get help with no context Mixing styles can be great or not . IMO the rug is now driving many things and I personally do not like rugs in DRS they make moving chairs a PITA and also get dirty if kids are involved . So post a pic of the whole room better yet also the LR here in a comment All we do is guess right now

Make sure the cat has its own rug covered scratching post. Some cats prefer jute and others prefer rugs. There are other things you can do but that’s a separate issue.
