if I'd have to skimp on the size of the shower, I would ditch the tub.

If I had a tub in another bathroom, I would ditch the tub in MY bathroom.

I do think you do need at least one tub in the house for children.

Tub soaking isn't for the elderly, it's difficult to get in and out without help.

I would not give up my tub, unless there was another bathroom, that had one, and that the other bathroom, wasnt the master

bedroom. I would want the tub in the bathroom, that guests and kids would be using.

I would have said I definitely need a tub, but my house has a jacuzzi in the master bath and it's a royal pain to clean. I haven't used it in years. I'd happily skip a tub.

Not a soak in a tub person but the question creates stupid IMHO. No reason to separate the shower and tub. WASTE OF SPACE.

This is an oversimplified question. There are so many factors that go into this decision beyond which you like. Seems as though a marketing person decided to post "content" rather than a true dilemma on this one.

@Lyn Nielson @cat_ky Totally agree—and it’s something we see often with our clients. If there’s a tub in another bathroom, many are happy to ditch it in the primary to make room for a better shower. And for families with young kids or aging parents, we always talk through how a tub (or not) fits into their lifestyle and long-term needs.

@Sigrid We hear that all the time—jacuzzi tubs sound great until it’s time to clean them. A lot of our clients feel the same way and end up choosing a low-maintenance shower they’ll actually use every day.

@arcy_gw Thanks for sharing your take! We totally get that some people prefer a combined tub and shower to maximize space. Our clients have varied lifestyles and priorities, so we always tailor the design to what makes the most sense for their needs.

I love a tub but it does notneed to be in the master bath anywhere works for me . I bathe every night so a must .
