Have you tried looking for "trackless bypass shower door"? Looks like there are a few companies that offer them, where the doors are on rollers at the top with a guide on the bottom, sort of like barn doors are hung. Though looking them up, 2800 for the door system and installation might not be too bad. Does that include removing old bathroom stuff, or is it for a fresh and clean install? How inexpensively were you hoping to obtain this for?

Thanks for your answer. All of the examples you gave have a little "track" except the last one which isn't a double bypass door. My curb will be white. I don't want a black line on it. There are doors out there for less than $1000 that look quite nice, all I'm asking for is this track to be gone. The company you cited has pictures of doors with tracks for the little explainer article about trackless doors. I don't get it.

Wait... are you looking for something that has no bottom or top track? That article had examples of doors with top tracks, but only bottom guides. And did that labor include removing an old shower door or no?

That is all there is, completely custom, no one makes that off the shelf.

There is always the shower curtain solution. No bottom track. Inexpensive. Full access. Easy clean. Wide open look w/o the glass by leaving the curtain stacked to one side.

Why is it so difficult to leave the bottom guide off?

Because without the bottom glide, the two doors swing loosely from the top track in a way that feels pretty unsafe. Said from experience (I really need to find a new screw and reattach my bottom guide).

Yes, thats my point. I feel people are not understanding me. There's a fixed guide in the center of these doors that holds them in place. It's necessary, and that's not the problem - I don't mind it.. The track I'm talking about doesn't even touch the door on the threshold. It functions as a splashguard only. Sometimes it's quite small and is made of soft plastic. I just want one without.

Did you ever sort this out? If so, what did you use? The closest I could find was a Rotolo lux zero threshold door.
