Help with design ideas for formal living room

last year

Looking for ideas to add color to this room. Cottage, traditional, maybe a vintage aesthetic? Originally cape cod home built in 1940s. Room is 14x13ft long. Thinking built ins?! Any inspiration welcome but im not into modern/contemporary/minimalistic. Ignore the cubby, that will not be there

There are so many different things you could do with this space. Will you have a TV? You could float a sofa facing the fireplace, add built-ins on either side, you could flank the fireplace with swivel chairs, etc. Below are a few images from our designs which might give you some ideas:
