Hey Heruga, it’s been a while since I’ve been on the forums, but I do remember you had determined some systemic issues, maybe the wilt you mentioned. I know you at one time we’re concentrating on plants I believe from Japan, is that still the case? Wondering if perhaps you experimented with different origin plants if there might be some different outcomes? Not an expert here by any means…

Hi Lalennoxa, I too haven't been on here lately as you can see I'm reading your comment just now. I just don't know anymore, some plants are affected some not. Some affected certain years, some not. It's a mess here. Bulbs, grassy perennials, trees, perennials that bloom in spring and finish their fruiting/seeding cycle before the heat of the summer seem to unaffected. It's a weird disease and I'm still trying to learn what I can grow and what I can't in my garden. I cut that callicarpa down to the ground, we'll see how it does next year. Thankfully it produced some seedlings around the main plant so it'll keep going.. until they get affected too. The native range of the plant shouldn't really matter as they are mostly perennials that are commonly used in northeastern landscapes and commonly sold in nurseries around here.
