No fake stone with your brick. Actually, no real stone either. Where would you put it? Stone flying up in the air (in the peaks) is so unnatural.

The brick looks in good repair - why do you want to paint it? Have you considered a thin whitewash instead?

Just remember NO ACRYLIC PAINT. Masonry paint or limewash on brick.

id love to not paint it but we dont have enough brick to finish. and we have some areas that need to be repaired…. so i have to add somthing… possibly siding. i love just an all brick house. wish i had this same brick id just leave it alone.

I'd paint them to match the window frames. I think urbane bronze would look great for both. But a warm cream would be good, too. Why anyone would cover up brick with a stone facade is a mystery to me. I wouldn't paint it either. What you really need is some landscaping. Fill the area between the path and the house with flowering shrubs, perennials and grasses.

    What's happening with the windows?

I would look around at all brick yards, and locate a brick, that is the closest match you can find, and use it, where you are short on brick. Once you put in the landscaping, no one will ever notice, and the brick is very nice and also maintenance free You need quite a bit of landscaping, and maybe a couple smaller type flowering trees in your front yard. Its an attractive house, and I would hate to see the brick painted.

Yes we will landscape once we finish painting. we plan on filling in the entire area between the pathway and the house. All the windows will be replaced. I painted some black on a window just to see if i liked the look of black windows…i feel its too heavy. Here is a photo of the garage side that we will add new garage doors… but this is the area where we don’t have brick to filll..already ripped off the trashed siding..wood underneath but i think its got to go… Here is the kicker: weve got a brand new black shed right next to our house so i am trying to incorporate black into the house… i will post photo of idea brick and batton came up with… i’m just not entirely sold if it will actually look good.

This is what brick and batton designed for us…. but our brick doesn’t look this pretty…not sure if it would actually look this good or not…

Our shed is fairly close to our house…i was trying to tie in some black somewhere besides the roof… not necessary -just thought itd be nice.
