Hang the chandelier first and then see if it needs anything at all. I suspect it will look fine without mirror or artwork there.

Agree - either art that you love (too hard to recco art for others) or nothing

If you decide to add art, suggest something soft, as the molding is so lovely and it shouldn’t detract from it.

Suggest bringing in art from another room and hold up to see how breaking up the panels feel.

You could try a mirror (that can be returned just in case). Suggest a round antique finish and it will reflect light from the chandelier and little else, which is ideal when adjacent to a dining table.

Nothing. What I do suggest is that you paint the yellow walls the same as the decor wall. Subtle, subtle with all that trim being in such proximity with the kitchen. Would you share a photo of the kitchen?

Before you hang the chandelier, are you sure that the table will be centered under it? The wires look off side to the table.

While I am a lover of art, I agree on hanging the chandelier first. That in itself is a gorgeous piece, you wouldn't want to add anything that is too distracting. Additionally, the moulding is art well. Beautiful dining room!

This looks like a Maria Theresa chandelier. It's a beautiful chandelier, but seems a bit to large and bulky on my monitor.

Will not reflect images only light, suit your chandelier and the wall‘s delicate effect.

Definitely no mirror. I would hate to see myself all during dinner.

Art is very personal--select something that you really like. Take time, it doesn't need to be there immediately.

I dislke mirrors in DRs and yes people do see themselves eating and it is not a nice sight. A great piece of art yu love is what IMO shoul be there . I think thee chandelier suits the vibe in the space but please no generic pice of art that matches the shape of the chairs but a beuatiful landscape maybe Is ee the chandelier now hung and still would like to see art on that wall. I think some lovelt silk drapes with a bit of color too

No one would want to sit on the opposite side of the table if you put up a mirror!!!! HORRID idea.

To me, your chandelier looks like it’s hung a little bit too high over your table- is it between 30-36”? I can’t tell your ceiling height- but if they are about 8’, that is where you’d want it.

The chandelier looks great! These crystal designs are always a bit over the top. The size works and it looks to be 30-36" over the top of the table.

I like the overall appearance. I would have a tendency to keep the fixture on a dimmer and at a candlelight level to set the mood.

The chandelier looks gorgeous! Honestly, I wouldn't put anything on the wall. The trim adornment speaks for itself and is a great supporting actor to the chandelier!

I see a comment that says her mirror idea is "HORRID". Not my idea of polite.

Is the other side of the room the same? The room looks great so far but I think it needs some warmth. It doesn't look like you have space for curtain panels. Have you thought about adding a rug?

I think drapery is a good way to warm up the space and IMO the stackback issue in a DR can be allowed to go over the side windo panels to get a warmer feel.
