Does anyone know what the rule is for area rugs or carpeting in a family room...My room size is roughly 13x16 ft. I've just purchased a rug that measures 7'10" x 10'10" and not sure if it's too big or how to situate the furniture around it. (feet on or off) I have a long sofa against the wall, love seat separating room and sofa chair. Your suggestions are appreciated!
