Nope, no dormant plants here, Rouge. We started renovating a bed last year and we had our hands full with that, right up until Thanksgiving. And I have a lot of catching up to do in the house to get done before gardening season starts. Would enjoy seeing photos of what you're planting up as it starts to grow.

I gave the dried up and neglected geranium pots some water, fertilizer, and better spots under the lights, and also potted up the sad coleus cuttings which have been sitting in water all winter. They already look much better even though they're in a cool room, which has been much cooler this winter because of the weather.

Usually this doesn't get done until late Feb or March, so yeah, I'm also jumping the gun a bit!

Nope, not yet -- still too early.

I'll pot up my dormant geraniums late February or early March; they spring to life relatively quickly, and if I pot up too early they get quite big and hog up too much room on the light cart.

I need more lights!

I dug up a few bulbs last fall and had them in my garage until we started getting below zero temps outside, then I brought them in. They're still in the house but I haven't tried to pot any up yet. It's mostly Caladiums, Cannas and Sweet potato vine. I also had a big pot of salvia Purple and Bloom in my garage that I brought in. It has broken dormancy now and has some little two inch sprouts so I guess I'll keep it in the house and just treat it as a houseplant until it's warm enough to put it outside. I was going to put it back in the garage after the cold spell but the cold spell lasted too long.

I have potted citrus (lemons, kiwi lime, and blood orange) that I kept in the house all winter. I'm pretty sure my garage is too cold for those. Also mandevilla and Jasmine. I have trouble finding which plants NEED dormancy but can't be left outside here.

Colocasia is borderline here. I left mine in the ground last year and it didn't come back. I need to replace it. I left a canna in the ground that I didn't care for and of course it came back. lol

@christinmk z5b eastern WA, it has been my successful experience overwintering dormant, bare root geraniums, in a closed cardboard box, in a room which is "warm" ie simply regular room temp.

I have never been successful in having our cats like this grass...weird.
