I have had nice ones from Garnet Hill. They fade in bright sun but that doesn’t look like it would be an issue here.

I just really like a good quality genuine plain coir. But clean and new. I refresh them every spring. Make sure they are a good size, too.

My problem though is the door expands over 72 inches. I looked at other same model homes and the difference is that those have side lights. Their mat looks perfectly fine centered in from of just the door.

How much longer than 72" is your space?

Before you dismiss the 72” mat, cut some paper to the same dimensions and see how it looks.

My weirdness for symmetry gets itchy with a mat in front of just one door.

I put the mat in front of the side of the patio door that opens, three feet, and a plant in front of the stationery half. The front door is the regular three feet, so no problem.

I think the front entry has to be symmetrical; patios are another matter

You will need a runner not a door mat.
