i didn't care what anyone thought when i put it in the laundry room.....i have had way more positive responses than negative ones....if you love it, it must be right!! the negative responders will just go back to their dingy little caves to do their laundry. you, on the other hand, will be in your own little heaven....

It's similar to mine - ours is a bit more turquoise and the chandelier is a bit more over-the-top and antique so it's even more . . . unique?
When I was planning it, I did get some odd comments but now that it's done, people can't say enough good things about it. (Well, except for those with no joie de vivre, and I won't let that bother me!) It's your laundry room - if you love it, that's what matters. Enjoy.

Adding a chandelier in an unexpected space is the best! You're avant garde and who knows maybe installing chandelier in the laundry room will be the next big thing!

My theory is...if you have to be stuck doing laundry, you might as well do it in a great, fun and elegant laundry room

Great work Cindy... our laundry room is awesome now! (It was the first room we did when we moved! Unfortunately we have 7' ceilings and the layout prevented the chandelier as an option... huge disappointment... but nonetheless, gorgeous fun space to do laundry, as an fyi, we saved tons by choosing cabinets from home depot ($80 each)... not quite as refined (the screwheads show on the sides, nothing a dot of white paint cant fix) but the look was definitely achieved affordably. Color we used was Behrs Rivers Edge. But VERY baby blue... might go back over it with BM's Waterfall or SW's Rainwashed. Will decide after I paint kitchen and see the color flow from room to room.

I've been looking for a chandelier after seeing this. I freaking love it! Did you spray paint it white? My laundry room doesn't have a window so believe it or not critics...this would give me much better light. You rock girl!

i did paint it white, spray painted it. i also scraped the yellow coating on the glass bowl off too, with steel wool. the light this thing throws out is awesome too!!! thank you!
