i personally never encouraged my pets to sleep on my bed. I had cats and dogs back in the day that they roamed outside and they got pretty dirty.

Ha-I think it looks very cozy. Also figure nothing is too excessive for our pups. Also, my grands would love to sleep with our Sam. Oh, and don't let anyone at Chewy hear you say anything might be excessive for a pet. LOL.

Considering our 11 lb Mini-dachshund lets us sleep with her in the King size bed.... I'd say no, it's not excessive. But I think we'd be sleeping in it w/out the dog. She isn't going to give up her bed for noooooobody. LOL!!!

The neighbor girls camped out on my floor with my dogs after one of my dogs had cancer surgey They loaded up movies and games and helped keep Grace calm and on the floor many days of her extended recovery. They'd have loved one of those beds.

I've seen them used by pet parents on IG when a pet is sick or dying and cannot jump on or off regular beds. Ellie was a spooner and would have loved this.

We have sleeping bags for our grandchildren but they prefer the (our) bed. I would LOVE to get them in these and just shove them under the bed when not in use!

…..adding, very mixed reviews, lots of complaints that the black base fabric rips withina few days, the bed is very difficult to fluff up and then assemble, and that the ”fur” is not short pile like the photo but rather a longer ”cheap shag” length and texture. I think it’s a good idea poorly executed.

It seems as most see these beds as positive. For me, one of them would take up about half of my available living room floor space and so would be impractical.

There is value in posting threads like these as I now see it through the eyes of others and can see how some people might buy them (or better made ones).

I do not have enough room for one, but if I did and we still had large dogs, we would have one.

We have a 15lb mutt who thinks he is a Rottweiler. He has three dog beds, six blankies, more stuffed toys than can be counted, and takes over any human bed he wants.

ETA: I forgot his pet steps so he can get on all the beds and couches.

OMG. You just brought back a repressed memory for me....

My SO never unexpectedly buys anything for our house. Except one day, he came home with the ugliest, fluffiest, most heinous dog bed you can imagine. You know, just like the one in the photo. LOL!!!

We have 2 smaller dogs, and we both love them very much. They lead good lives. They have their crates - complete with comfy beds - tucked away in a walk in closet where they go when they want to nap quietly. When we're in the family room watching TV, they're usually either laying on the floor playing with toys, or curled up on one of us.

Anyway, for some lord unknown reason, my SO decided they needed a dog bed for the family room. "Look honey, it was ON SALE!" Sweet mercy, there was a good reason for that....

I didn't want to say anything and hurt his feelings, but I thought that bed was heinous. My first thought was perhaps they won't even like it, so I told him don't take the tags off until we know if they'll use it. Well....that didn't pan out, because the little buggers LOVED IT. Sigh. IT WAS HUGE.

I ended up having to rearrange the room so we could hide that huge ugly thing (sort of hide it anyway) in a corner behind some furniture. They used it for years. It finally met its demise in a great barfing incident, as there was no good way to clean it, and I was so sad (NOT) the day it got hauled away to the dump.

I will not be showing Lucille's ad or photo to my SO. :-)
