Need color help!

I made the mistake of choosing a slab for our vanity on a rainy day without seeing it horizontal...Needless to say, the color is way off. The tile is absolutely fabulous -- lots of variation in shades of green. But the slab (Blue Dune) shifted from looking very green/gold green in the yard to absolutely gold and grey with the eastern sun in one window and warm southern sun in the other window. Even the installer said they'd never seen such a change in what the slab looked like even from the truck to the install...I've painted the walls Greek Villa just because I wasn't sure what to do other than a soft white. Is there a paint color I should be looking at that would bridge the two competing colors (as I tried to do with the chair?) Thanks!

Your pic is very small. It makes it difficult to see the countertop.

Agree the photo is coming through as a 2"x2" for me with no way to blow it up.

This is the granite you chose?

From what I can tell it looks almost peach in your photo. Try changing your lighting to a cool light instead of warm before you do anything. 3500K-4500K. Are the vanity lights the only light you have in the space? I think a lot of what you seeing is the lack of light and brightness in the space.

four walls in a small room affects colors you don't notice in the wild.

Not sure what you are trying to achieve, but if you want a white with a hint of green, SAMPLE SW Reserved White.

You might first try changing out your light bulbs to a cooler tone. I normally like 3000k in a home but you might try something higher and see if that gets you closer to the look you wanted for the countertop. You may not need to do much in that case.

Yes Design Interior South -- that is exactly what the slab looked like vertically. The gold is apparently deeper in the vein and reflects the light. If its cloudy, its perfect. But, because of the lovely warm light that comes in a golden yellow from that right window (its a cloud mix today), plus the added northern exposer from the other window, it just goes gold if there's any sun out. I was wondering if there was a counter color that would tone down the gold -- we were thinking of tiling the entire wall behind the counter, but that was a more expensive option than just switching out the counter. The chair and the orange pillow have been a good bridge between the wall and the counter - so I was wondering if maybe something striking like BM Tandoori might deflect from the gold.

I don't think youre going to get the drastic change that you are hoping for but choosing a cool gray green color can tone down golds.

I see nothing wrong with it, even though it is not your original vision, it's beautiful. You have the same top on the pony wall which ties it in. And it pairs nicely with the wood vanity which is your saving grace.

The warm olive green paint by Emily is lovely and a great solution, don't go cool mint green.

similar to the previous post with the rendering. I like seeing the green throughout the room to pull it all together.
