You have too many choices. Narrow it down to 2-3. Sometimes it's easier to look at choices and say NO instead of YES. That will help you reduce your choices.

I would not mix brick and stone on a home under any circumstances.

Single door, big no on double doors.

Mixing brick and stone is rarely done well, so better to stick to one product. Easier to mix stucco with brick OR stone, if you must have two materials for siding.

I will always choose two single garage doors over one large garage door.

If there is enough room for a double front door, then choose a single front door with a sidelight one each side.

Production builder with a fixed set of options. Probably not able to substitute/deviate from what the builder offers.

Yes this is a production build, we like the mix of stone and brick, all of these are approved options they have for us.

The house reminds me of a dog all one color with feet and lower legs of a different color. Perhaps my creativity is getting the best of me again.

Just because the options are approved does not mean that they are a good design choices.

It's decided the OP is doing brick with stone, and brick/stone/siding will be in the only scheme as the elevation shows, there is no option otherwise. OP can only receive color palette advice.

The choices are set in packages - for each brick choice, there are 2 mortar colors, then there are 2-6 corresponding stone choices, then 3 corresponding choices for paint in a Light/Medium/Dark grouping:

1. Start by narrowing down brick to 1-3 choices.
2. Narrow down stone to 1-3 choices.
3. Find those brick + stone packages that matches your choices in #1 and #2.
4. Then have a picture of each stone to compare with brick and paint colors simultaneously.
5. With the paint colors, for each Light/Medium/Dark scheme, you have options left to right (Dark scheme varies though):

• choose left - everything is that color
• choose middle - keeps the siding the left color, changes a handful of the named items to middle color
• choose right - keeps the siding the left color, changes only a couple select items to right color

And not to make it even more complicated, but usually in a planned unit community, adjacent houses cannot be the same exact elevation and colors. So double checking you've double checked that all packages are available, and with that, that the builder is able to obtain all choices of the brick and stone for this project timeline.

This is ... a lot. A lot of materials, a lot of angles, a lot of roof with a lot of angles. Some windows with shutters, other windows without. No focal point on the front.

Looking at the plan, at 21' wide, the garage is narrow for two cars. Imagine bringing a large bed or dresser through the turns to enter the master bedroom. Think about walking around that tub to reach the toilet (which is then enclosed in a small, dark closet) in the middle of the night. The house is fancy, but it's ... well, inside and out I see a lot. Just a lot.

The windows in the great room are nice.

Thank you to those who gave constructive advice, we are between Dover brick + Blanco Sawn chop stone accent or Cimarron brick and Granbury Cream Chop stone accent. The photos below are those brick/stone combos but if you see a standard brick and stone selection you think would look better in the list I originally posted feel free to recommend it! Would also love input on how to choose the roofing color (options below). I’ve posted a couple times on this app and each time I’ve sort of regretted it because it hasn’t yielded much actual advice beyond internet trolls wanting to dog someone else’s design. If that’s you, please move on, this post just isn’t about you or for you. I’m asking for advice on specific things and would love to hear from kind people who know more about how to mix these options than I do 🩷

Yes, as you have discovered, Houzz is not like FB where your friends all rave about your choices. Instead, here you get honest opinions from professionals and not-so-professionals alike.

Of the two choices you have posted above, #2 is the best IMO.

There is better things out there, all you have to do is want it. I am a very kind person, so kind that I will not lie to you about design like your friends on facebook will. All of the advice here is good advice, and just because it is not what you want to hear does not mean it is bad or mean. It also greatly helps if you answer questions.

#2, all brick, in that tone, definitely the two car garage. Not loving the shutters, even though they are the correct shape. Keep it simple to start. Do you have a choice of window colors? I like this look for your new home.

Where did I ask for people to lie to me or rave about my choices? I simply asked for some advice on color schemes and got a lot of unsolicited advice that was unrelated to what we are doing. If y’all are professionals, I sure hope you practice more restraint in your professional lives. Otherwise, I would highly recommend learning the art of that, it will get you much further in life and be far more meaningful than designing a pretty home.
