@Kat thank you for starting a September thread. LOVE the classic diagonal tile pattern.

We've moved into the "slow but steady" stage as well. We're mentally running out of steam, but trying to continue pushing along.

Cabinet install begun last week, but I'm not impressed with this crew. We used the same cabinet company as our last build, but these installers are not as experienced and it shows. We had to push counter measure back a week as a result. And counters are four weeks from measure so that puts us into October.

We're still working on electric fixtures and carpentry trim. We have one more interior fixture to hang and seven exterior. Shower glass is scheduled for install next week and we're on our excavators radar for grading.

There's always something positive though. I'm pretty pleased with the master bedroom & bathroom lighting and how they compliment each other beautifully. Two neighbors have told us that our house is their favorite in the neighborhood. So all in all we are thankful for our build.

Nice high ceilings and solid core doors. But what are the white rectangles under the windows? Receptacles?

@Joy M I love your light. I’d forgot how long it is between template and actual install. I’m hoping we might get are templating done next week. It was supposed to be done two weeks ago. 😂

We finally had our bricks delivered after months of delays. We met with the mason last week to discuss outdoor fireplace and pier details. I am so glad that we waited for the large sized brick that we really wanted rather than settle for the smaller size that was available in June. Hopefully, the mason can re-commence the work soon.

Also, after a false start in May, the correct cedar columns for our front porch were delivered and installed last week. This is great because they are structural and now that they are in, work can continue on the porch.

AC M, good that you were able to wait for the product you really wanted. A few months delay is nothing when you plan to live in the house for a long time.

Our build was delayed when we found out the electrician planned to install crappy old technology for our recessed lights. The better lights we sourced were back ordered for 4-6 weeks. You hate to stop part of the project when you are in the thick of it, but well worth it when you look back.
