Our 1980's Ranch in So. FL has bright white ceramic tile in all of the common areas. It is enough to drive me crazy. You can see every particle of dirt and no matter how clean the rest of the house is, it always looks messy because of the tile. We just cannot afford to replace it but we want to put something over it to warm up the space in our large kitchen hacienda style renovation. I'm afraid laminates wouldn't hold up to 3 kids and 2 large dogs. So I need a solution that is economical but stylish. I was hoping to get some advice and suggestions. Rugs don't really work because our shepherds shed constantly. Any advice?
