I would not add shutters, what I would do is get 3 wrought iron window boxes and put sweet potato vine in it with some Red Geraniums. Something I think needs to come off of the house it's like a flat face with no nose ( if I know what I mean) the dripping of the vine would help with that. One window box per Two Windows. I also would put a smaller one on the garage window. Next what about a Canvas awning over the front door with a Reddish color on the door the house color looks gray to me. Then of course put some geraniums in a pot or in the ground by the door. Pots could be black and awning Black as well as the awning and your window boxes would be black. Hope this his a bit .

Yes I like her front entrance also but it might cost more than a Black canvass awning.

Thank you all so much. I have always wanted a portico but will look at the awning idea as I've never thought of that. I love the idea of the window boxes. Should I center the boxes between the windows? Yes, the house is gray. What color red do you suggest?

Yes put the boxes in the middle where there is nothing. ( window space window). Put the middle of each box in the (space) area. Now these are going to be kind of long or I should say wide boxes. Each box will be about 5 to 10 inches in from the windows because you don't want the boxes the same size of the windows. Flowers could be fall ones like Mums in the fall cots like the burgundy ones out now. That will go nicely with the tree out front.

Not sure of the red of your thinking of door color. But it's not fire engine red . Lol it's like a burgundy/ red. Maybe Sherman Williams has a red that the decorators are using now ask them. Them just coordinate your flowers with what ever you choose for the door color.

Typically, shutters should be measured out to be half of the size of the window so they give the impression that if they were to be closed, they would cover the window. In your case, it doesn't appear that you have enough room for properly fitted shutters, however they would add a nice touch to the home. We just think that if they are too thin they would throw off the curb appeal of the home.

Definitely no shutters. They will clutter the look of your windows, and would need to be too wide if sized properly. Your house is lovely just as it is. We just took down our cheap, narrow, improperly sized shutters (from the previous owner) and the house looks so much better without them.

Your house looks fine as is....a clean, (almost) classic Colonial. No need for shutters.

I definitely vote no on shutters. They would look busy and would not be appropriately sized. I think the window box idea is a nice one however I would resist the feeling that you need to dress up the house. I think it has a nice crisp simplicity to it.
